Director Nick Willing puts a new twist on Lewis Carroll’s classic tale in this fantasy mini-series depicting Alice as a 21 year old women who ventures into Wonderland in search of a lost love. Almost immediately after presenting Alice (Catarina Scorsone) with an ornate family ring, handsome Jack Chase (Philip Winchester) is abducted by a pair of hulking brutes. Approached by a well-dressed man named White Rabbit (Alan Gray) who claims to know Jack’s whereabouts, Alice follows the bearded stranger into a mirror and finds herself in a surreal new world of fantasy and wonder. When the Queen of Hearts (Kathy Bates) discovers her son bestowed a virtual stranger the ring that gives its owner power over the looking glass, it’s up to Alice to determine what she should do with it. Summer 1900: Queen Victoria’s last and the summer Leo turns 13. He’s the guest of Marcus, a wealthy classmate, at a grand home in rural Norfolk. Leo is befriended by Marian, Marcus’s twenty-something sister, a beauty about to be engaged to Hugh, a viscount and good fellow. Marian buys Leo a forest-green suit, takes him on walks, and asks him to carry messages to and from their neighbor, Ted Burgess, a bit of a rake. Leo is soon dissembling, realizes he’s betraying Hugh, but continues as the go-between nonetheless, asking adults naive questions about the attractions of men and women. Can an affair between neighbors stay secret for long? And how does innocence end?

In the 60’s, having as the background the rehearsal and recording of “Sympathy for the Devil” in the classic album “Beggar’s Banquet” by the revolutionary bad boy Rolling Stones - Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Brian Jones - plus Marianne Faithful, Godard discloses other contemporary revolutionary and ideological movements - the Black Power through the Black Panthers, the feminism, the communism, the fascism - entwined with the reading of a cheap pulp political novel divided in the chapters: “The Stones Rolling; “Outside Black Novel”; “Sight and Sound”; “All About Eve”; “The Heart of Occident”; “Inside Black Syntax”; and, “Under the Stones the Beach”.

The broken farmer Dan rents his farm for the scientist John from the Bovine Genetics Technology that is researching genetic modifications of cattle to increase its fertilization. The veterinarian Orla is bitten by the calf while helping the cow to deliver, and she feels that something went wrong with the experiment. During the night, the cow has a narrow passage for the calf, and Dan asks the young couple Jamie and Mary that is parked in a trailer in front of his farm’s entrance to help him in the delivery. When the offspring is born, it bites Dan; Orla arrives later and realizes that it is a genetic anomaly and she sacrifices the calf. During the autopsy of the animal, she discovers that the fetus is pregnant and she destroys the freak hybrids. However, one of them escapes and attacks a cow first and Jamie later. When John arrives in the farm, he discovers that there is the danger of infection of human beings and decides to quarantine the spot. But one offspring is alive and need to be captured.

Colin’s a sad-eyed British artist (Firth) holed up in a rundown hotel in small-town Vermont after being dumped by his fiancee (Driver). The hotel owner (Steenburgen) plays matchmaker and introduces him to a local girl (Graham). Romance ensues, though Colin’s ex may be looking to reunite.
